Since 1966, Robert J. Hribar has represented clients in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and St. Clair counties. He focuses on divorce and family law, wills and trusts, probate and estate planning, criminal law, zoning and land use and offers experienced service in related areas. He is also very involved in alternative dispute resolution and has served as a case evaluator (mediator), facilitator and arbitrator for both divorce and general civil matters in the Macomb County Circuit Court. He has also been a seminar speaker on Mediation and the Open Meetings Act. Mr. Hribar is admitted to practice in the State Courts of Michigan. He prides himself on being a warm, compassionate attorney who is always available to answer his clients questions and concerns.
In addition to serving individual clients, Mr. Hribar as extensive municipal law experience, having served as attorney for the City of Eastpointe from 1972 through the present. As attorney for the City of Eastpointe, Mr. Hribar has appeared in all Courts for the City, including being of counsel in the United States Supreme Court on a landmark decision regarding pornographic movie theaters. Mr. Hribar has remained very active as a municipal attorney handling such issues as property maintenance and blight prevention, development of zoning ordinances, and negotiation and arbitration involving Eastpointe's Police and Fire Departments.
For more than twenty years, Mr. Hribar has been rated "AV" by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. Determined by other members of the Bar, "AV" is the highest possible rating and reflects his talented legal work and his high ethical standards. Mr. Hribar is a member of the Macomb County Bar Association and is a Past President of the organization. He is a former member of the Representative Assembly of the State Bar of Michigan and has served on several State Bar committees as well. Additionally, he is a member of the Catholic Lawyer's Society and a Hearing Panel member of the State of Michigan Attorney Discipline Board.
Mr. Hribar received his undergraduate degree from the University of Detroit in 1963. He obtained his law degree from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1966.
